I am thrilled to share that I have been selected to participate in the 2024-2025 East Lansing Emerging Leaders Program (ELELP)! As a member of this cohort, I will be taking on leadership roles within the East Lansing community surrounding civic engagement and public service. This program will develop me into a skilled community leader and resource, expose me to different aspects of local government, and increase my engagement in community service. I am grateful for this opportunity and to be in position to positively impact my community!

The How to Guide to Conscious Community Leadership | Jude Hannah | TEDxMaldonWomenHow do communities survive into the future? They survive by people taking up roles that are sometimes daunting, it makes them uncomfortable, it exposes them to criticism, it takes them out of their conform zone and sometimes the financial remuneration is little if not at all. The cold hard truth is if you want to create change in community you need to be the change. Deep wisdom resides within our communities, we need to tap that source. You don’t have to be perfect to fill these shoes, community will back you if they trust you. Relationships are paramount. Join me on a journey of conscious community leadership, you will leave empowered, affirmed you have what it takes, knowing you have the ability raise another up and build the communities we so desperately need for our future. Let me help you fill your cup.https://lnkd.in/gK9AYZus

Transformation. It's a word we throw about these days, as if it just happens if we believe in it enough. In reality, transformations that truly benefit us and our communities require awareness, clarity, and alignment with a purpose. Before I participated in the Leadership Eastside 2-year cohort I struggled. I had lost my sense of purpose and couldn't find a new one that felt right. I looked at many training and degree options and they felt overwhelming, soulless, and empty. Then at an event where I was excitedly talking about my attempts to make my workplace friendlier to women, especially women of color, I was pointed to Leadership Eastside. This is where I found a community. I found a pathway to naming my own purpose so I could align with it and take steps towards it. I found all sorts of tools, connections, and mindsets that I carry into my daily life and work. I'm a very different kind of leader today. Leadership Eastside develops and enriches leaders to be the catalysts we and our communities need. Please comment below or send me a direct message if you want to know more. I firmly believe your life will be all the better for engaging with Leadership Eastside! Take that first step now - ask the question.#Leadership #LeadershipDevelopment #Community

Reflections on this experience at the recent Leadership Learning Lab I ran with Alia Rose Connor.1. At Spotify I took for granted the number of women and non-binary folk in my field (coaching & tech). It truly is (was?) a shining example of diverse hiring. 2. I am now confident (old?) enough not to let it overtly get in my way. I'll speak up no matter.3. I have a lot of suppressed rage that the world is this way, and if I let it out it would overwhelm me.#womenintech #womenintechnology #leadershipcoaching
